Today’s excerpt from Climbing Prayer Mountain:

“Elijah, a man just like us, beckons us to combat our idol-filled hearts with a simple prayer pronouncing the LORD’s glory and begging Him once again to reveal Himself to a lost generation. If God can answer Elijah’s prayer so powerfully, why not ours?”

We are faced with the reality that we all need the Holy Spirit to reveal the idols in our hearts that are keeping us from knowing the true God. Take some time today to ask the Holy Spirit what your idols are.

Today’s prayer: Father, reveal yourself to a lost generation who desperately need You.
