Day 40 of 40
The Glory of the Mountain
“Then I heard every creature in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, singing: ‘To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, forever and ever.’ The four living creatures said, ‘Amen,’ and the elders fell down and worshiped.” | REVELATION 5:13-14
Today we end our 40 day journey with this excerpt from Climbing Prayer Mountain:
“The hope in writing these daily devotionals is for us to enter into the throne room of Revelation 4 and 5, to join in with the songs of heaven, and all those who have been saved by the Lamb and the Lion of Judah… As I ponder the immense glory of the Lion and the Lamb on the throne, I’m prompted to join the songs found in these verses and let the Holy Spirit bring my spirit near the King of Glory. This is where my heart belongs, this is where my soul experiences the greatest of all spiritual feast- on His Holy Mountain.”
The goal of the climb up Prayer Mountain is found in Revelation 4 & 5. Why is heartfelt worship the only true response to an encounter with God on Prayer Mountain?
Today’s prayer: God, may my everyday be filled with heartfelt worship towards You.
